She was born and raised in Tarrant and never left the community she loved. A graduate of Tarrant High School, she spent her whole life in the town she called home, and the town loved her back. She had a gift for making everyone feel like family, and she loved without condition.
She found joy in the simple things: a line in the water, a Saturday of Alabama football, and the flowers she planted and tended with such care. Above all, she treasured her father, and she carried his memory with her always. Her greatest role was as a mother and grandmother, and her family was the center of her world.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Adams; her daughters, Mandy Layton (Chris) and Brandy Cook (Adam); her grandchildren, Aiden Layton, Logan Layton, Harper Layton, and Caleb Cook; her brother, Marvin “Skip” Henderson (Sharon).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Henderson Sr. and Ruby Henderson; her son, Brian Coker; her daughter, Emily Adams; and her sisters, Barbara Champion and Sharon Henderson.
Her warmth reached far beyond her own family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
