Julian Scott Penrod

Penrod, Julian Scott age 69, of Birmingham, AL., died Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:30 am in his home in Center Point, Alabama. He was born to the late Amon and Rose Evelyn Penrod on April 9th 1943 in Tarrant, Alabama. He graduated from Banks High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from Auburn University in 1968 before embarking on a life long career as a transportation professional in the trucking industry. Scott was a loving son, husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela Vaughn Penrod, her parents Howard and Lee Vaughn, and daughter Mary Ann Roberts, her husband Jimmy and children. He is also survived by his daughter Adrienne Penrod Gainey, her husband Carlyle, and his granddaughter Alexandria Kathleen Gainey. Scott was preceded in death by his loving parents Amon and Evelyn Penrod as well as his beloved first wife Kathleen Drummey Penrod and is survived by her loving family in Iowa, mother in law Geraldine Drummey, sister in law Alicia Tygart and brother in law Doug Drummey and their children. A memorial service will be held a Ridout's Trussville Chapel 1500 Gadsden Rd. in Trussville, Al. at 10:00 am Saturday, November 24 with visitation an hour before and after. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, The V Foundation for Cancer
