Kathy Lois Scalisi

Born and raised in Forestdale, Kathy was the youngest of three siblings. She was a 1970 graduate of Ensley High School, where she was a member of the ROTC and a high stepper in the Ensley Marching Band.

Her career path started when she was 15 years old at St. Vincent's Hospital working as a candy-striper and a lab tech. Around this time is when she met her husband, Bernard. They just celebrated 49 years of marriage this past September.

She was a wonderful mom, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend but most of all loved being Bernard's wife and mother to Laura and Elizabeth.

Kathy is survived by her husband; Bernard, daughters; Laura Sullentrup (Michael) and Elizabeth Danforah (Joey), brother; David Pinkerton and three grandchildren; Alyssa (11), Anthony (8) and Alexis (7).

Kathy is preceded in death by her father; Ollie Pinkerton, mother; Edna Pinkerton and a sister; Gail Peden (Tommy).

A visitation for Kathy will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 9:00am-10:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church located at 4600 Preserve Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35226., followed by a funeral mass from 10:00am to 11:00am.
