Kenneth was born on September 15, 1953, in Birmingham, Alabama. He spent 4 years serving in the United States Marine corps as sergeant before being honorably discharged and 3 years in the Air National Guard. After his time in the military, Kenneth worked 25 years and retired from the City of Birmingham in 2010.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife at the casino and taking road trips to get lottery tickets. He loved collecting treasures, as he would say, from yard sales and thrift stores. But most of all he loved his family, and he was a very proud dad, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Joseph Farley Sr; brother, Joseph Farley Jr; sister, Tina Brown and Brenda Foster.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol Farley; Sisters, Wanda Farley and Geraldine King; Children, Tammy Smith (Steven) and Kenneth Wayne Farley Jr; grandchildren, Brittany Dillard, Kara Fuller, Taylor Todd (Terry), step grandchildren Laya (Tyler) and Stevie, Farrah, Brooklyn, Ella and 10 great grandchildren, Jayden, Harmony, Lyrik, Melody, Major, Zymiri, Karson, Kymbree, Luna and expecting baby Sage.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235.
