Larry Eugene Yager age 63 of Hoover, AL passed away peacefully on July 4, 2011 after an extended illness. He was born on February 26, 1948 to Jearl Yager and Helen Fraser Yager of Pleasant Grove, AL. After graduating from West End High School, Larry worked for Sherwin Williams and later for Art Craft Wallcoverings. He is best known as the owner/operator of Wallpaper Distributors in Midfield, AL where he served the community for 28 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Jearl Yager. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Borders Yager; mother, Helen Fraser Yager; brother, Jerry (Pat) Yager of Conyers, GA; three sons, Brent (Dorene) Graves of Los Gotos, CA, Shawn (Kim) Graves of Woodstock, GA, and Daryl Yager of Hoover; grandchildren, Katie Graves of North Port, FL, Daniel and Coby Graves of Woodstock, GA, and Gavin and Cameron Yager of Hoover. "Pops" as he was lovingly called by his family and close friends, always put others first. His mission in life was to provide and care for his family and help the needs of others. Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel followed by a chapel service at 11:00 am with Rev, Marion Eubanks and burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
