Born in Florida, Laura grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a Graduate of Huffman High School and Jacksonville State University. She was called home to be with the Lord receiving the peace she desired and definitely deserved on October 27, 2026.
Laura was an amazing person. She played softball in her youth and enjoyed hiking later in life. She loved to travel including going to Europe and Australia. She also traveled the U.S. even when it meant traveling alone. She was determined to live her life well even while dealing with various health issues. She didn’t let the trials she faced hold her back. She was always open to expanding her horizons, for instance attempting motorcycle training class as a fifty year old, she got most improved in the class. Laura was both brave and beautiful.
As a professional she worked as a project manager for a variety of companies, living in Sterling Heights, MI, Alpharetta, GA and Huntsville, AL.
Her other interests included watching the Food Network and was an excellent cook. Laura was an avid reader and was rarely without a book, often carrying one in her purse almost everywhere she went. She enjoyed the Hallmark Channels and loved watching movies with her mother Connie.
Laura was loving and had a tender heart. Regardless of what she was dealing with she didn’t dwell on her struggles and always asked others how they were and genuinely wanted to know.
She loved the Lord, her friends and loved her family deeply. She was loyal and forgave others easily. I don’t believe she knew how many lives she touched with her caring nature. Laura will be missed more than words can express.
She is survived by her mom, Connie Graham Turner and Brother John Turner (Peggy) along with Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends that were family to her. She is preceded in death by her father Bill and many others. She will be missed by many. She fought as long as she could.
