Mrs. Lena Mollica Myers passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frankie Franks, her parents Sam and Maria Concetta Mollica, and her brothers, Charles, Tony, and Joe Mollica. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Myers, her sister, Carmalena Alfano, her daughters, Dena Parker and Gina Heard, her sons, Don, Raymond, Steve, and Mark Franks, her step-sons, Ken, Kevin, and Keith Myers, sixteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was a manager of Jefferson County Housing until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Adamsville. She loved reading, listening to music, especially opera, dancing, and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Sylvia Odom and Melissa Mack. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rosary Service beginning at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 am.
