Lennea Milton Burke

BURKE, LENNEA MILTON A native of Birmingham, went to live with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 27,2012 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, William A. Burke, Jr. She is also survived by her five children: William Kim Burke (Donna), Julie McCain (Walter), John Burke (Rene), Suzanne Pocase (Gene), and Madge Noland (Jon), as well as thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Lennea was loved by all who knew her. Her sweet spirit and selfless giving touched more lives than anyone could ever know. She taught many how to pray and spearheaded the National Day of Prayer in Gulf Shores for many years. Her life's desire and ambition was to lead others to Christ and His love radiated from her. Visitation will be held Monday April 30th at Elmwood Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 1st at 11:00 at Elmwood Chapel. Pallbearers will be Brad Burke, Jonathan McCain, Andrew McCain, Austin McCain, Drew Burke, Tyler Noland, and Ryan Capps. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local Alzheimer's Association or the Daybreak Senior Care Program at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, 1720 Hwy 59, Gulf Shores, AL 36542
