Linda C Wilson

Linda Rose Chesser Wilson, age 79 of Clay, AL went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Chesser; step-father, Talmadge Thrasher; and mother, Estelle Chesser Thrasher. She is survived by her husband, Herbert “Sonny” Wilson; her children, Keith Wilson (Jo Ellen), Debbie Scott (Keith), Herbert “Buddy” Wilson (KJ), and Donna Smith (Brent); brother, Ronnie Chesser; sister, Sharon Ratliff (Earl); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Linda loved her family and was loved by all. Linda was born and grew up in Birmingham, graduated from Banks High School. Linda worked at Walker Drug Company and was a library clerk at Arthur, Smith, and Sun Valley Elementary Schools for many years. She was a previous member of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church and St. John’s United Methodist Church and was currently attending Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church. Linda loved the Lord and was always active in her church, including a time as UMW president. She was an avid reader and was very creative. The family will celebrate her life with a visitation on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a service on Monday beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
