August 11,1923-December 13,2015 Lois Cobb Driver, 92, of Vestavia Hills, was a loving Christian woman full of dignity and grace. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, where she was active in many areas including one of the first female deacons of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calloway Driver, her oldest daughter, Peggy D Chancey, and her three siblings: Frances, Earnestine, and Ty Cobb. She is survived by her youngest daughter Anne Thompson (Ron) of Austin, TX, and her grandchildren: Cindy C. Tyus (Kevin) of Vestavia, Pam Chancey of New York City, Jennifer Levin of Denver, CO, and Susan Levin (Mark) of Washington DC. Also, her six great-grandchildren of whom she was very proud and spoke of often. The family will have a private burial service at Elmwood Cemetery on Saturday, December 19th, followed by a “Celebration of Life” gathering for our family and friends to stop by anytime at the home of the Tyus family.
