Loretta Minor, a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in 1947, Loretta devoted her life to creativity and beauty as a talented interior designer, leaving her artistic touch on countless homes and spaces throughout the community she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Minor and Edgar Minor, whose guidance and love shaped the person she became. Loretta’s deep roots in Birmingham were matched only by her dedication to her craft and her warm presence among family, friends, and clients.
Her life and work reflected a passion for making the world more beautiful—one room at a time. She will be remembered not only for her professional talents but also for her kindness, grace, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary – Elmwood Chapel & Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, Alabama. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
