Elizabeth Lucille Milner Webster, 99, of Trussville Alabama died on February 11, 2019. Lucille was born in Tallassee Alabama on June 28, 1919 to Myrtle Elizabeth (Elkins) and Otis Franklin Milner. She married John Edsel Webster also from Tallassee Alabama on March 27, 1936. They had been happily married for 79 years when Edsel died in May 2015. They moved to Trussville in 1954 where Lucille worked at the Trussville Elementary School and were very involved in the community of Trussville. She was a very organized, independent and loving southern lady and led many projects for the community and the church. Both retired from Alabama Power Company and were active members of the First Baptist Church of Trussville. They traveled extensively, overseas and to all 50 states. One of her favorite places was Orange Beach in the fall, where she enjoyed long beach walks and great seafood. She was an avid Auburn and Braves fan; everyone knew not to call during a televised game! Lucille was a great cook and loved to entertain. She prepared desserts for all but showed utmost restraint in never eating any of the sweets. The family assembled some of her favorite recipes in a book titled, Stirred with Love. Lucille loved her family, her church and her friends. She was a devoted Christian.
Lucille is survived by her son, Eddie and Sherry (Smith) Webster of Fairhope, Alabama, her daughter, Jayne (Webster) and Dick Edge of McLean, Virginia; "Grandceil" had five grandchildren: Blake Webster (Theresa ), Whitney Webster Anderson (Steve), Jake Webster, Andrew Edge (Petra), Katie Edge Slorp (Andrew); and two great-grandchildren: John Whitney Slorp and Claire Elizabeth Slorp.
Lucille was preceded in death by her brother, Don and Jean (Bouleware) Milner.
Visitation (10:00 am) and Funeral (11:00 am) services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Trussville on Friday, February 15th, 2019.
