Maidee "Dixie" Youngblood, 96 passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was a longtime member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and a member of the Opportunity Sunday School Class. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Youngblood; daughters, Susan Strain and Linda Y. Lacy. Survivors are her sons, Donald R. Youngblood, Jr. (Nancy) and Rhett Youngblood; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 1-2pm at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2pm. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to Bluff Park United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
