Robert Manson Crotty, age 65 of Hoover passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was a long time member of Shades Crest Baptist Church, holding many leadership positions over the years. Manson was a graduate of Auburn University and was a retired Engineer with MW / Davis Dumas and Associates and South Central Bell. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Evans Crotty; son, Robert Evan Crotty and wife Colleen; daughter, Leanna Brooke Crotty Buchina and husband Kyle; grandchildren: Vivian and Bryton Buchina; sister, Carole Crotty Wilson and husband Vernon. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Shades Crest Baptist Church with Dr. Brian Lee officiating. The family will fellowship with friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Shades Crest Baptist Church Building Fund or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in memory of Manson.
