

Peggy was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Margaret Lucille Cairnes and William Miller, Sr. She graduated from Ensley High School and was a dedicated employee of United States Steel for over a decade.
Peggy was married to Robert Earl Conry (Bob) for 63 years. Peggy devoted her life to her family providing love, strength, and support. She was always available to her children and grandchildren offering a listening ear, a jar of cookies, and invaluable advice. Family gatherings at Peggy and Bob’s home are remembered with joy—Halloween rice Krispies with orange crème soda, Mimi’s famous Thanksgiving dressing, Christmas coconut cake, and countless summer evenings around the porch table. She created traditions her family will carry on for generations. Peggy will be remembered for her quiet strength and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her legacy of constant love and support will continue to be an inspiration for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her sister, Hannah Logan; and her nephew, Miller Logan. She is survived by her brother, William Miller(Kay); her two children: Robert Martin Conry (Toni), and Ann Margaret Conry Giles (Greg); her five grandchildren: Rachel Conry Palmer (Rob), Lindsey Conry Blackmon (Jonathan), Ben Conry (Caitlyn); Grace Giles Darwin (Stephen), and Gregory Giles; as well as five great grandchildren: James Rowe Blackmon, David Blackmon, Frances Blackmon, Callahan Conry, and Harris Conry.
A private family graveside service will be held.
