Margaret Wright Hewes, 94, of Birmingham died peacefully in her home on April 27, 2014. Mrs. Hewes was born in New Orleans, LA to James and Margaret Wright. In 1945 she married Arm Captain John F. Hewes, III, a Birmingham dentist . They were married 57 years at the time of his death in 2002, She is preceded in death by her four beloved brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sister Kathryn Hotard of Gretna, LA, her three children Margaret Lowery (James), John Hewes (Delilah) and Kathleen Reynolds, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Chapel on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with a vistiation from 10-11A.M. at the church.
