Margaret Creel Hunter, 89, passed away on September 6, 2023. She was born on June 15, 1934 to J.P. and Frances Burger Creel, who have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hunter and granddaughter, Angelina Singh. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kathy Herbinger; grandchildren, Jaspal Singh (Krystal), Rhiannon Willis, and Jaime Herbinger; and great grandchildren, Zoey, Jackson, and James.
Margaret was a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her beloved family. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking southern food. She later became a herbalist. A favorite hobby was designing and making floral arrangements for her dear friends. Margaret was an avid Alabama Roll Tide football fan. She also enjoyed her church, Pleasant Hill UMC. She spent a good portion of her life in the McCalla area.
There will be a celebration of life service for Margaret on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Birmingham’s historic Elmwood Cemetery.
