Colton, Margie Prothro “Meemaw” age 79 of Birmingham, AL formerly of Ruston, LA passed peacefully on July 15, 2013. She was a Southern Baptist and a member of Clay First Baptist Church. She graduated from Business College in Natchitoches, LA. She worked at Valley Electric, Early Chevrolet and retired in 2007 from Ronnie Ward GMC Toyota Dealership. She was a Notary Public. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ray Colton; parents, Rev. O.H. and Elva Roe Prothro; sister, Jewell Prothro McElwee. Meemaw is survived by her daughter, Deborah Cusimano and her husband Mike of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Thacker, Richard (Katie) Hatch, Sarah (Brandon) Evans, Robert (Layla) Cusimano and Connie Cusimano; great-grandaughter, Olivia Nicole Evans; brother, Johnie (Nina) Prothro of Eatonton, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will be in Ruston, LA.
