GUTHRIE, MARGIE PRESLEY, age 86 of Springville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James G. Presley of 56 years and Gorman Guthrie; parents, Floyd and Mary Moore; daughter, Pat Reid; granddaughter, Tracy Leigh Jones; son-in-law, Terry Pesceone; brother, Jack Vandergrift; and sisters, Betty Hodge and Faye Yancey. She is survived by her son, James E. Presley (Norita); daughters, Margaret A. Morrison (Hub), Frances Presley and Elizabeth Pesceone; step-daughter, Lisa Guthrie Nelson (Stuart); 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; extended family, Geri Rayburn and Earline Banks; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Margie was a lifelong resident of Springville and member of First Baptist Church of Springville. She worked at the Burgess Clinic for 27 years. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Her service will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Springville, she will lie-in-state from 12-1 with the service at 1. Burial will follow at Springville Cemetery.
