Marie Lorino Bianchi, age 94, of Hoover, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Angelo Joseph Bianchi; parents, Bernard and Frances (Gagliano) Lorino; brothers, Pete and Joe; sisters, Lena Vizzinia and Josephine D’Aquila; and son, Dan. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Price (Joel) and Carol Maxwell (Bill); daughter-in-law, Julia Bianchi; grandchildren, Brian Bianchi (Joy), Audrey Gumm (Ryan), Jay Price (Melissa), Patti Morrow (David), Chris Price (Mera), Angela Bloodworth (Scott) and John Maxwell. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family.
Marie was born on August 2, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a graduate of Ensley High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover and past member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ensley. Marie was most happy when surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed hosting for family and holiday events. She was a member of the Hoover New Horizons and a past member of the Debonairs Dance Club.
The family extends thanks and appreciation to the caregivers and hospice nurses for their loving care and support. Services will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Monday, July 26, 2021 with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
