MORGAN, MARILLA ANNE, age 86 of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Irvin Morgan. She is survived by her sister, Katherine M. Hogin; nieces, Katie McKibbin (Scott) and Amy Coker (Joe); great nieces and nephews, Connor, Andrew, Claire, Layton and Charlie; cousins, Dr. Ed Beason (Barbara) and Ted Beason (Ann); and many other treasured family and friends. Marilla traveled extensively as a young woman including African photo safaris and to South America and was an avid baseball fan. She served as an executive for the Girl Scouts Association in Chicago and Phoenix and retired as a guidance counselor from the Birmingham City Schools. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 1:30 - 2:30 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 3:00 PM.
