Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel J. Sugar and Naomi V. Sugar, and her sister, Diane Sugar.
She is survived by her children, Joshua R. Diamond (Catharine Diamond) and Seth L. Diamond (Brooke Diamond); her beloved grandchildren, Hannah Diamond, Naomi Diamond, Ari Diamond, and Zachary Diamond; her brother, Dr. Mark Sugar; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Marjorie dedicated herself to education and service. She worked as an elementary school teacher, special educator, librarian, and later taught English as a Second Language to Russian immigrants in Birmingham, Alabama.
Marjorie had a deep love of literature, painting, canoeing, and hiking in Vermont’s Green Mountains. She will be remembered for her lifelong curiosity, devotion to learning, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and teaching.
