Feb. 18, 1933 – May 4, 2015
A resident of Birmingham, and affectionately known as “Tommie”, Mrs. Peppers was a longtime member of Avondale United Methodist Church, where she served on several committees and volunteered in multiple facets, for numerous activities. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels of Jefferson County.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, H.L. “Buddy” Peppers; and her daughter, Mary Pihakis. Survivors include her daughters, Mabel Peppers, Sandra Brodosi (Mark) and Tina Peppers; grandchildren, Jim Pihakis, Nicholaus Baldone, Chris Pihakis, Michael Pihakis and Matthew Brodosi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at visitation on Wednesday, May 6th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 7th at Avondale United Methodist Church in Birmingham, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Green’s Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, AL.
