

Marty was preceded in death by his father, Rosie Rozell. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Rozell; stepchildren Andrew, Braxton, Harrison, and Sarah Ashlee Barker; and his mother, Betty (Hudson) Rozell.
Marty devoted much of his life to coaching and mentoring young athletes. During his coaching career, he served at Hewitt-Trussville High School, Hoover High School, Mountain Brook High School, and Spain Park High School, where he helped develop some of the top quarterbacks and offenses in the state of Alabama. Following his successful coaching career, Marty continued serving students and athletes at John Carroll Catholic High School, eventually becoming Athletic Director.
Marty was highly respected by coaches and friends across the state and will be remembered for his leadership, kindness, and lasting impact on so many lives. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family, friends, former players, and all who knew him.
Services will be held on May 19, 2026, at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, with the service immediately following. Graveside services will take place afterward at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
Pastor Ron Harris will be officiating the service.
