Mary Alice McKinney

Mary Alice McKinney of Pinson, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the age of 95. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She loved being a member and attending LifeChurch Birmingham on Chalkville Mountain Road but most of all she loved her family and having them close to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray McKinney, Sr; her sons, Billy Ray McKinney, Jr., and James Linville McKinney; two daughters, Ellen Johnson and Evelyn Johnson; brothers, Tony Morgan, John Morgan, Andrew Morgan, and Richard Morgan; sisters, Betty Drummonds and Violet Morgan; and a granddaughter, Shelly Holmes. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Brooks (Robert) and a son, Daniel McKinney; brother, George Morgan and a sister, Roberta “Bobbi” McKinney; her loving grandchildren, Mary Mullins (Jeff), Charles Dodd (Elizabeth), Penny Lloyd, Karen Heard (Bernard), Len McKinney, David Johnson (Kelsi), Daniel McKinney (Katie), and Phil McKinney; 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with chapel services on Wednesday, September 23rd beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Pinson, Al.
