Mary “Becky” Rebecca Rorie, age 72, of Cropwell passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove and was a Special Needs Aide for the Jefferson County and Pell City Board of Education. Becky also worked with Southeastern Bolt & Screw and Kraft Corporation. She was known for being everyone’s best friend, raising everyone’s children and was very active in the Homebound and Nursing Home Ministries. She was a true servant of God.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents: Farris and Mary Oliver McKee and her sister, Angela Pender. Survivors include her husband William “Bill” Rorie; son, Todd Rorie; sisters: Karen McKee and Sharon Profetto (Jim); brother-in-law, Gary Pender and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other family members.
A funeral service for Becky will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove, 724 4th St, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127 with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
