Mary Jo Glenn Vick departed this life on October 27th to enter her eternal home in Heaven to be with Jesus at the age of 89. Mrs. Vick was a loving mother and affectionately known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church, where she taught the Joy Sunday School Class for many years. Mrs. Vick was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Auburn Vick, infant granddaughter, Angel Marie Vick, and son-in-law, Gene Nelson. She is survived by her children: Cynthia (Richard) Trader, Vicki Nelson, Glenn (Vicki) Vick; grandchildren: Steve (Susan) Trader, Tracy (Scott) Boyd, NaCole (Charles) Newman, Ginger (Kyle) Smith, Shaun (Nikki) Vick, Chad (Christi) Vick; great-grandchildren: Lauren Boyd, Katie Boyd, Stephen Trader, Susanne Trader, Riley Smith, Mason Smith, Caleb Smith, Lane Vick, Alex Vick, Angel Vick and Cooper Vick. A celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 am, November 1st at Elmwood Chapel. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 -11:00 am. The family would like to thank Fair Haven Retirement Center and Oasis Hospice.
