HARRIS, MAXINE SIMS born February 14, 1926 to Grady and Varnell Sims of Hamilton AL, went to be with her Lord on August 25, 2011. Maxine was preceded to Heaven by her beloved husband Warren L. Harris. Warren and Maxine owned and operated the NAPA store in Columbiana AL for many years. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist church in Cropwell before moving to Columbiana in 2000 and joining the Columbiana United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sister Erline S. Ford and brother Ted Sims of Hamilton as well as her three children, Ellen LaBate (Eric), Rick Harris (Beverly) and Rob Harris (Brenda). Maxine was also blessed with six grandchildren and many great grand children. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 28 at 1:00 pm at Elmwood Chapel with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow the chapel service in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church or Columbiana United Methodist.
