

Michael John Joseph Bobyarchak, Jr., 72, of Trussville, Alabama passed from this earth to the Lord's Arms on August 30, 2017. He devoted his life to service by entering the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 serving two years before serving four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. After his military service, he became a law officer serving with Fultondale Police Department briefly before he began a lifelong career with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. He was a champion for the poor working with Toys for Tots through the Fraternal Order of Police for 22 years and running several ministries to help those in need. He was a devoted Christian who centered his life around helping his fellow man. His legacy includes a girlfriend for 33 years, Renee Deramus; two daughters: Tina Ewing (Charlie), Lisa Nichols (Jonathan); grandchildren: Collin Thorp (Julia), Jacob Thorp, Joshua Nichols, and Hope Nichols; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Thorp and a granddaughter arriving in December. Siblings include: Dennis Wiemar, David Wiemar (Donna), Alma Steinberg (Fred), Anna Brown (Fred), Tom Wiemar, Chris Wiemar, Mary Cross (Mike), Sara Moulton (Tom), Steve Wiemar (Robin), and many nieces, nephews, and family. He is preceded in death by two sets of parents: June Duncan (Mother) and Michael Bobyarchak (Father) and Helen Wiemar (Mama) and William Wiemar (Dad), one brother Johnny Wiemar, and one grandson Caleb Nichols. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Ridout's Chapel in Trussville, AL with the visitation on Monday, September 4 from 4-8pm and the funeral Tuesday, September 5 at 11am. The burial will be held at Brookside Russian Orthodox Cemetery directly after. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Abundant Hope Ministries, P.O. Box 515, Moody, AL 35004.
