My heart was saddened when I read the news of Mike's passing. We went to Greenwood Junior High School and to Bessemer High together. Later in our adult years, occasionally, I would see him at Carolyn and A.C.'s when we were there for visits with my parents. But, it had been many years [over 25] since I last saw him, until the last BHS class of '64 reunion dinner at The Bright Star a couple of summers ago. As always, Mike gave me a big bear hug as only he could do. I'll remember him fondly. He was a good guy...a "gentle" man.

The BBVA Compass Trussville staff will dearly miss Mr. Morris, we enjoyed his conversation and jokes. He always had some interesting stories to share with us. Prayers for the family.

Mike will always have a special place in my heart.  Even though I haven't seen him in many years, I remember the man as  athlete, friend, brother, father, husband and one with an enormous heart.

I new Mike his last few years in which we became good Friends. Mike loved People and would help anyone if he could.He seemed to always be for the underdog and took up for them...Mike always had a smile even tho things might be going as good as it seemed. People always like to talk to Mike and he was interested in what they had to say. Everyone was a equal with Mike. I miss him already. Not many people like Mike. Mike ,no more suffering buddy. teach em something up there........FOREVER FRIEND RON.H.

Mike was a good friend & fine athlete at BHS. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Mike was a good friend and great football player in high school and I have many fond memories of him. My best to his family and friends.
