Michael Alan Pilgreen

Pilgreen, Michael Alan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2011. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Attis Corns , Donald Ray Pilgreen Sr. and Hazel Thornell, A Birmingham native, Michael was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School. Friends knew him to have a very charismatic personality. He was warm, caring, and will be greatly missed. He was involved in Boy Scouts of America and played football, baseball, and basketball in his earlier years. Since moving to Arizona about four years ago, most of his time was spent reading various books, finding and collecting meteorites from the desert, riding horses, and he also enjoyed the desert life and the mountains in Arizona.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Brenda Pilgreen, one sister, Lisa Pilgreen Hollingsworth (Richard), nephew, Jordan Knott, two nieces, Emma Knott and Allie Hollingsworth. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 6, 2011 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with the burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on September 5, 2011 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel.
