My childhood is filled with wonderful memories of my mother's family, the Nortons! Aunt Mildred and Uncle R.B. - those two names were always linked together because if you saw one, you saw the other.  While Uncle R.B. was outgoing and loved to kid around, Aunt Mildred was soft spoken, gentle, and very calm natured. She and Uncle R.B. were devoted to each other, and that was obvious to anyone who knew them. We all admired Aunt Mildred's beauty...especially her red hair! I believe losing Uncle R.B. was something from which my Aunt Mildred was not able to recover because she had truly built her life around him. It is comforting to know they are together again... 

I remember the first time Uncle RB brought Aunt Mildred to meet us. She was stunning, with that beautiful red hair! We were immediately smitten! She fit in beautifully with our big, boisterous, affectionate family.  But often she would caution our uncle who was the clown of the family, “Now R.B.!”So many, many memories of family times together! I look forward to our next family reunion in heaven!

Mildred was my Aunt and most of my memories are from when we lived in "Thomas Acres", in Bessemer, Al. 
Sometimes she would walk over to my Aunt Dora's house and we would sit out on her porch and catch up on the news while drinking RC Colas and (if Aunt Dora was in a sharing mood) me may have had a Tip Top Cake! Mildred was a soft spoken and kind person. I can't wait to see her again💖😍
