Mildred Hardigree Winfield age 88 of Midfield passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012. She was born February 3, 1924 in Bogart, GA and graduated from Bogart High School in 1941. Throughout her life she attended Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Escus and Estelle Hardigree; husband, Gerald Raymond Winfield, Sr.; daughter, Pamela Jean Winfield.; brothers, Lamar and Dorsey Hardigree; sister, Ellie May Nunnley . She is survived by her children, Michael (Tammie) Winfield, Gerald R. Winfield, Jr., Cheryl Bell, and Linda (John) McAdams; grandchildren, Laura, John, Amy, Joseph, David, Christian, Hallie, Matthew, and Annette; great grandchildren, Layla, Kimberly, Madeline, AJ, and Annelise; nieces, Barbara Norris Sims and Connie Wheller. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery.
