Mildred, age 81 of Birmingham passed away Saturday, June 13th. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Julius "Little Man" Oral Popwell; two sons, Julius and George Popwell; and grandson Bobby Joe Wheeler. Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Dora Wheeler and Carla Malone (Ted); two grandsons, Billy and David Wheeler; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel on Wednesday, June 17th from 10:00 to 11:00 am with graveside service to immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
