Millard G. Starns, 75, of Riverside, Alabama passed away on June 20, 2018. He was born to Mary Elizabeth (Davis) and Henry Starns Jr. in Birmingham, Alabama on January 18, 1943. Millard was preceded in passing by his father. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Shirley Starns; his daughter, Lisa Hill (Neil Carden); his mother, Mary Elizabeth Lowe; his sisters, Barbara Parkes (Darryl) and Phyliss Thornton (Bill); his dog Samson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Millard was one of a kind. He was an avid fisherman and spent a majority of his time fishing. He retired from being a journeyman painter and a owner and operator of his own business. Millard never met a stranger. He was very social and likeable. He loved southern gospel singings and Alabama football. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his love of fishing and for being a truly unique individual.
Visitation Sunday, June 24 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral Service Monday, June 25 at 11:00 am at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Interment to follow with military honors at 2:00 pm Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
