Millie Jackson

February 22, 1962November 22, 2021

Millie (Ashley) Jackson went to be with our Heavenly Father surrounded by her children and loved ones early on November 22, 2021. She was born on February 22, 1962, in Birmingham, Al. She is preceded in death by her husband Grady Jackson; mother Patricia (Barrett) Ashley Hall; father Robert W. Ashley; brother Butch Ashley; and sisters Angi Ashley and Paula Wuerdeman. She is survived by her daughter Casey Ragsdale (Jeremy Folse); and sons Kevin (Crystal) Jones, Brian Beasley, & Tyler Ragsdale (Trisha Delawder), Christopher Jackson; sister Traci (Russell) Goforth; her most beloved grandchildren Christian, Kaleigh, Kameron, Wyatt, Braiden, Kayson, Karlie, Farrah, Kathryn, Kain, Lily, and DJ.; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

There was nothing more important to Millie than her grandkids and family. She never met a stranger and everyone she loved she considered family. Her house was always filled with family, friends, and kids and although they weren’t related they still called her Mama or Nanny. She spent most of her life as a caregiver, not only as an occupation but as a passion in life. She enjoyed making and painting ceramics, but also absolutely loved camping and fishing. She touched the lives and hearts of many people and will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation for Millie will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, Al 35235. Millie was a good friend to me as well as a caregiver. I am in a wheelchair now and she took me out in my car and worked for me at home as well. I know there is a place in heaven for her, and she will be missed by everyone who knows her.

Millie was a sister in the Lord and a dear friend to me. We made ceramics together and took a trip out West. She was so excited. It did my heart good to just make her happy. She will be missed.! I could write a book but just to know we will see each other later in heaven is a blessing
Millie, loved her family and a special bond with her Grandchildren
We will always love her and miss her until we meet in heaven . Rest In Peace . Luv ya always
