Minnie N. Nelson age 94, of Hueytown, passed away on October 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Nelson and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Jon “Butch” Nelson (Beverly), Roger “Corky” Nelson (Susan), and Joel “Chuck” Nelson (Sandy); brother, Louis Nobinger and sister, Louise George; seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Nelson was a lifelong resident if Birmingham and was a member of Rock Creek Church of God. We would like to thank Self Health Care and all her caregivers over the past three years. A chapel service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Elmwood Chapel at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
