Morris Stivender

Morris Davis Stivender passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. He was an employee of Lamson and Session’s as well as Carraway Methodist Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Stivender. He leaves behind two sons, Jim (Kathy) and Howard (Anna) Stivender; two grandchildren, Knight Stivender and Andy (Elaine) Stivender; step granddaughter, Crystal Messer; one great granddaughter, Lily Fleenor; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Williams. Services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Elmwood Chapel.

We will miss Morris so much but we rejoice that he is celebrating with our Lord Jesus RIGHT NOW! We are so thankful to have had these last few years to get to know Morris and will always consider him a wonderful friend.
