Mrs. Naljie Kigee Marie Holcombe Strachan

STRACHAN, NALJIE MARIE, age 88, of Pinson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 2, 2010. She was the sweetest Mother and Grandmother in the world. She was a lifetime member of The Healing Place Church of God. She devoted her life to her family and service to the Lord. She was a talented musician, singer, and prayer warrior. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Strachan, Sr.; parents, Almarine Barber and Sarah Elizabeth Holcombe; sisters, Lillian Stone, Ressie Bristoe, Dovie Stone, Leona Adams and Alma Bradley; brother, Hermus Holcombe; son-in-law, Michael Lee Flanagan, Sr.; great-grandson, Wesley Olan Tillman; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Renee Allcorn. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Patricia Flanagan and Sherry Carroll (Rick); step-children, Donna Caldwell and Joey Strachan; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved each and everyone. Pallbearers will be Phillip Duke, Darrin Duke, Aaron Allcorn, Dallas Tillman, Shane Tillman, Patrick Tillman, Randall Allcorn and Paul Tillman. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Duke, Tyler Duke, Noah Allcorn, Gage Tillman and Cole Tillman. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 5-7 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with a service beginning at 7 PM with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens beginning at 11 AM.
