Merritt, Nell C. age 83 of Birmingham, AL went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2012. Mrs. Merritt was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Merritt, Sr.; daughter, Sandra Merritt Roberts. She is survived by her son, Earl Jr. (Vickie) Merritt; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 5 pm until 7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11 AM at Forest Hill Cemetery.
