Norma Jean Williamson, age 69, passed away and entered heaven on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Ms. Williamson was a resident of The Village at Cook Springs. Born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 18, 1951, she grew up in Bessemer, Alabama and graduated from Bessemer High School in 1969. She later received a B.A. in History from UAB. Ms. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hughgene and Mary Louise Fallon Williamson. Ms. Williamson is survived by her sister, Sue Williamson Evans (Jack) of Trussville, Alabama, a niece, Kathleen Evans Kopp (Nick) of Alabaster, Alabama and a nephew, Patrick Williamson Evans (Lorna) of Mountain Brook, Alabama. She is also survived by great-grandniece and great grandnephew, Caroline and Evan Kopp of Alabaster. In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held. Burial at Oakland Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Arthur Harrison.
