Odessa Wilder Ralph Harbor, age 93 of Hoover, AL died November 25, 2022. She was born November 15, 1929 to Houston R. and Mary M. Wilder. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Horace Wilder, sister, Bibbie J. McLaughlin, son, Alan Ralph, husbands William Ralph and Victor Harbor Jr. She is survived by her daughter Alanna K. Ralph, daughter-in-law Carol Ralph, grandchildren, Adam Ralph, and Melissa Ralph. She is also survived by her step-children, Kenny Harbor (Carol), Mike Harbor (Cathy), and Judy Harbor Smith (Randy), nine step-grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Odessa was an active member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She often taught the Opportunity Class and was a volunteer at the Firehouse Shelter, First Light, BPUMC Food Pantry and enjoyed sewing and hemmed over 100 blankets for the mission field. She was also active in the United Methodist Women's Bible Study, Garden Club and Literary Club. She lived her life walking in faith and trusting God. She will greatly be missed. There will be a funeral service at Bluff Park United Methodist Church located at 733 Valley St. Birmingham, AL. 35226 on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00AM with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. There will not be a police escort or funeral procession to the cemetery. We ask that family and friends meet in the front parking lot of Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave. SW Birmingham, AL. 35211 by 12:30PM and we will process to the gravesite together.
