Omeda Goggans Holloway of Hoover passed away June 20, 2014, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, O.C. Holloway, and her brother and sisters, R.P Goggans, Jr., Evelyn Goggans Jackson, Connie Goggans Lochridge, and Jean Goggans Alred. She is survived by her sons, Steve Holloway (Sonzia), and Stan Holloway (Cindy), both of Hoover, and her daughter, Kathy Williams (Arthur), of Jasper, six grandchildren, Rachel Patterson, Steve Holloway, Beth Rhodes, and Scott Holloway, Brian Holloway and Katie Holloway, and four great grandchildren. She was born in Bexar, Alabama in 1922, the daughter of Pierce and Hattie Goggans. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a devoted, longtime member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia. Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2014 at 9:45 A.M. at St. Mark United Methodist Church, Columbiana Road, Vestavia. Services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
