Opal Pauline Yeager passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 91. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Opal was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pell City, AL and former member of the “Mt. Pisgah Pickers” who enjoyed performing at local nursing homes with their dulcimers and guitars. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Yeager. Opal is survived by her sons, Sandy Hale (Candy), Freddy Hale (Alicia), and Nathan Hale (Donna); her daughter, Leta Dawson (Darrell); ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 19th at Nectar Congregational Methodist Church in Nectar, AL with visitation beginning at 11 AM and services at 1:00 PM. Burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery. Randy Hale officiating services.
