Mr. Otto Jack Turner, 95, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto Fuller Turner and Bessie Philpot; stepfather, Johnny Philpot; sister, Myra Jean Chapman; nephew, Milton Ted Chapman; and nephew, William Jack “Jackie” Chapman. Jack is survived by his sisters, Virginia Hunt and Mary Green (John); 2 special nephews and great nephew, Michael Chapman (Erin), John Charles Green (Stephanie), and Noah Chapman; nieces and nephews, Jeff Hunt (Tammy), Cyndi Savage (Gary), Ashley Gentry (Mike), and Michelle Mullins (Mark); and many great nephews and nieces.
Jack was the owner of the Pleasant Grove Community Swimming Pool. Although he didn’t have children of his own, he considered the children that visited his pool every summer as his own and he loved them dearly.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11 am at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial donation to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in his name.
