Mr. Gibbs was born May 2, 1956, in Birmingham, AL to Charlie M. Gibbs and Iva Mae Gibbs who preceded him in death.
He loved football and was an avid Alabama fan. He loved his pets Bruno, Booger, Sunny and Boo. He worked 40 years for Woods/Edwards Chevrolet.
He is survived by his wife Janis McCain Gibbs, his brother in law Scott McCain, his sisters Jeanette Fowler (Jim) in Huntsville and Patricia Sulser in Birmingham. His brother Charles Gibbs (Barbara) in Cleveland, AL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Wade Gibbs (Robin).
A public visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave. SW Birmingham, AL. 35211 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will follow immediately at Elmwood Cemetery.
