Paul Reid Searcey, age 74, passed away at his residence Sunday, September 13, 2015. Mr. Searcey is survived by his wife of 40 years Joyce Searcey; son Timothy Lee Searcey; daughter Susan Donnette Tegran; brothers Willie Searcey and Leroy Searcey; sister Dolly Riddle; sister-in-law Merle Searcey; one grandson and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Minnie Searcey and two brothers Jack Searcey and Robert Searcey.
Mr. Searcey had been employed over the years by Spartan Mills in South Carolina, Osborn Construction in Birmingham, Alabama, Alabama Dirt and Demo in Birmingham, Alabama and by Loyed Trucking in Birmingham, Alabama.
Paul was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved gardening.
The family is planning a memorial service for a later date in North Carolina.
