Pauline "Polly" Dorothy Wright passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Polly was born September 8, 1923 in Westfield, Massachusetts to Ernest and Pauline Burland and moved to Birmingham, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bud Burland; sister, Margie White (Len); and son-in-law, Reggie LeCren.
She married Clarence Wright on March 8, 1942 and enjoyed 26 happy years of marriage until his death on March 15, 1968. She is survived by two children, Dodie Wright LeCren and Ann Wright Earley (Bill); 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grand children, her brother John Burland (Jeanette), and many nieces and nephews.
Polly graduated from Shades Cahaba High School. She was a charter member of Oakmont Methodist Church. She retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company.
Polly's family would like to say a special thank you to South Haven Nursing Home and Comfort Care Hospice for their loving care.
There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a service at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Elmwood Chapel.
