Fuller, Quintus (Quinn) James, of Pell City died April 9, 2013. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Cropwell, AL. He was born April 28, 1930 in Birmingham, AL. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1948 and Troy University with an accounting degree. Quinn was a veteran of the Korean War and flew over 100 combat missions. On his first mission he was shot down over North Korea and a daring rescued ensued in which he was only one of the very few successfully rescued. He was always indebted to the two heroes who came to his aid: Owen Clark – Helicopter Pilot; Elmer Davis – Medic; and all his fellow pilots that flew “cap” over him during his extraction. He went on to become a CPA and retired from Fuller & Norris in Dothan, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quintus J. Fuller, Sr., and Jewell Fuller. He is survived by his wife Mary of 47 years; step-son, Kinn Webb (Lynn) of Birmingham; daughter, Michelle McLaughlin (Ron) of Las Vegas, NV; Kim Powers (Evert Broderick) of Reno, NV; sister Mary Ann Taylor of Pelham; grandchildren, Lyndsey Webb, Hunter Webb, Jason McLaughlin; nephew, Chuck Taylor; nieces, Shawn Dishman and Donna Jason and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10 from 2:00 PM to 3:00PM at Ridouts Elmwood Chapeland graveside services will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Pine Harbor Golf Course Men’s Club. A special thanks to the wonderful people who cared for Quinn at the Village at Cook Springs and Oasis Hospice & Healthcare in Moody.
