

Randy Joyce Johnson, 64, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. Born on July 11, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Randy was the beloved daughter of the late Floyd David Jr. and Joyce Higgins Davis.
Randy graduated from Oak Grove High School and continued her education at Bessemer Tech, UAB, and Walker College. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a profession that reflected her compassionate and nurturing spirit.
She married the love of her life, Bruce W. Johnson, and together they built a beautiful family, raising two children who were her pride and joy. Randy’s life was marked by devotion—to her family, her friends, and her patients. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Randy was preceded in death by her cherished grandchildren, James Johnson and David Johnson, and her sister, Jenny Keen. She leaves behind her loving husband, Bruce W. Johnson; her children, Jared F. Johnson and Megan J. Johnson; and her adored grandchildren, H. Wesley Dodd, Jake Dodd, and Aiden Dodd. She is also survived by her brother, Terry Davis; cousin, Anita Higgins; nieces, Brianna Cook and Ashley Keen; nephew, Matthew Cook; and her beloved cat, Boo, who brought her endless comfort and joy.
Randy’s legacy is one of love, strength, and generosity. She will be remembered for her laughter, her unwavering support, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and cared for.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in Randy’s honor, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.
